The first weekend in April was one I won’t forget. My friends and I had been planning and looking forward to this weekend since February. We stayed in Killarney, which is a town in County Kerry, southwestern Ireland. Our hostel was an old mansion with a large living room that we watched movies in each night.Our first full day in Killarney we did a tour of the Gap of Dunloe. We started by hiking for about two hours. We then went on a boat tour. This area was breathtaking and we could not have lucked out with better weather!
On Saturday we started the day by going horseback riding. This was one of my favorite parts. The scenery was so beautiful it almost looked as though it was not real! The rest of the day was spent hiking.
We took advantage of the beautiful weather and spent almost our entire time outdoors. Many of my favorite memories of Ireland were created that weekend and I am so fortunate to have been able to experience that part of Ireland.
